Jim was raised on a farm near Mitchell, SD.

Jim graduated from Ethan High School. He has 35 years of management and grain merchandising experience across East-Central South Dakota.

In March of 2007, Jim joined Central Farmers Coop in Salem as grain manager.

Jim and his wife, Karen, reside in Salem. They have three wonderful children and six grandchildren living in Elkton, Canova and Salem.

Jim's hobbies include camping and hunting.
