FREMAR LLC/Central Farmers Coop would like to notify patrons of the following scholarship opportunities.
2014 CFC Agricultural Scholarship
Each year Central Farmers Cooperative awards a $1000.00 scholarship to one or more graduating high school seniors whose parents are current producer members of the coop. Student must be enrolled in a South Dakota post-secondary education school and pursuing a career in agriculture. Scholarship funds will be awarded after the student has registered for the second semester. Please check back in February 2014 for scholarship application and deadlines.
SD Trucking Association Foundation Scholarship
By completing and returning the application before the deadline of April 12, 2013, applicants will be considered for one of five (5) South Dakota Trucking Association Foundation Scholarships. Each scholarship will be awarded at a level of $1,000 per recipient.
Requirements:
*Degree seeking student
*Must not be in default of any student loans, owe a refund or have received overpayments on any federal, state or institutional financial aid that have not been resolved
*A family member of a regular or associate member of the SD Trucking Association; or
*A family member of an employee or leased operator of a regular or associate member of the SD Trucking Association; or
*A family member of an employee of the SD Trucking Association

The following local high school seniors are the 2013 recipients of the Central Farmers Agricultural $1000 Scholarship. Award criteria consisted of scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture and perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future. Each scholarship winner plans to attend a South Dakota post-secondary school and pursue a career in agriculture.
