   All About the Headlines

   Wheat contracts were pulled sharply lower by a barrage of bearish headlines,
while corn and beans slipped modestly lower during a quietly traded session.

General Comments:

   Soybeans closed 3 1/4 cents lower in the November and 3 1/4 cents lower in
the January. Corn closed 3 3/4 cents lower in the December and 3 3/4 cents
lower in the March. Wheat closed 24 1/4 cents lower in the December Chicago, 18
1/2 cents lower in the December Kansas City, and 20 1/2 cents lower in the
December Minneapolis. The U.S. dollar index is 0.247 lower at 82.573. December
gold is $2.00 lower while December silver is $0.071 higher and December copper
is $0.0210 higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 58 points at 10,398.
October crude oil is $0.57 higher at $74.66. October heating oil is $0.0064
higher while October RBOB gasoline is $0.0079 higher and October natural gas is
$0.043 lower.
